Elements and Performance Criteria
- Prepare and deploy an indirect fire weapon
- Resources required for the performance of the task are determined and organised in accordance with orders
- Identified problems/shortfalls are reported to immediate supervisor in accordance with standard procedures
- Indirect fire weapon is deployed in accordance with orders
- Occupational health and safety (OH&S) requirements and recognised safety precautions are applied throughout the operation in accordance with standard procedures
- Engage targets with indirect fire
- Indirect fire weapon operations are directed and controlled in accordance with orders and standard procedures
- Appropriate ammunition is selected in accordance with orders
- Minor incidents are rectified
- Major incidents beyond own level of authority or competence are reported to manager/s and action is taken as directed
- Conduct maintenance of indirect fire weapons
